My name is Brianna Rowe and I’m a research and development chef at Meritage Soups.

I didn’t always know I wanted to cook. In fact, I received my undergraduate degree in English at the University of Washington before I really began my culinary exploration. It was in college that I truly understood the virtues of a home cooked meal and unless I wanted to live at home for the rest of my life, it was time to get into the kitchen.

I spent a few years in an externship at a local soup manufacturing company; gleaning as much knowledge as I could from the director of R&D (also my mother), before deciding to take my education one formal step further by moving to Napa Valley and enrolling in the Culinary Institute of America.

It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. But it was also amazing. Every bite, every aroma (not to mention every cut I endured) has led me here. So thanks for stopping by…it’s nice to meet you!
